The hardest ticket in London, and it is not even in London. Dated slots go on sale in batches and weekends disappear within days. Book before you book anything else.
THE BIG QUESTION
We compared both, factor by factor.
The tour itself is self-guided either way, so what you are really buying is transport. Going under your own steam is cheaper and lets you linger. Take the coach package if you are a family of four, if you are nervous about connections, or if your slot is early enough that a missed train ruins it. Everyone else: train from Euston, shuttle from Watford Junction, done.
See the tour →Two to three months minimum, four to six for school holidays or a Saturday. Tickets are released in dated blocks rather than continuously, so the useful move is to find out when the next block opens and buy on that day.
No. There is no walk-up window and no standby queue. If the site says sold out, the answer for that day is genuinely no.
Honestly, not really. It is well made and the sets are extraordinary craft, but three hours and £53 assumes you care which corridor is which. Casual viewers usually leave saying it was fine.
