Do you need to book Tokyo Skytree in advance?
No. Same-day tickets are almost always available at the counter. Book ahead if you are going at a weekend, want a sunset slot, or would rather not queue 40 minutes at the base.
Is Tokyo Skytree or Shibuya Sky better?
Shibuya Sky, for most people. It is open-air, it looks over the part of Tokyo you actually recognise, and Skytree is the thing you want in your photo rather than under your feet. Skytree wins on height and on rainy days.
Is the Tembo Galleria worth the extra?
Not really. It is another 100 metres and a spiral ramp. Spend the difference on dinner unless you are a completist about tall buildings.
